My website provides a brief introduction to my research interests, which include systematics and evolution of bees using a combination of molecular, morphological, and biological data. My PhD project is a NSF funded molecular phylogenetic study of stingless bees, and I have also worked on the taxonomy, diversity, and biology of a range of bees. Please check the links for more information on some of that. My journey began in Denmark and from there I went to the megadiverse Peru to work on a number of smaller projects. Since 2003 I have been in the USA where I am a PhD student with Dr. Sydney Cameron at the University of Illinois.
