MUSIC

Music blends with chemistry in my life and opens new dimensions of self-awareness. I am an Indian Classical Vocalist. I started learning classical music from my mother Smt. Archana Das since I was conscious of being a human. Later I was under the tutelage of Vidhusi Sumitra Guha for seven years (1994-2001).

My music resume

In 1997 I received prestigious Sahitya Kala Parishad Scholarship for higher learning from the Govt of Delhi. Later I was selected by the Norweigian Government Concert institute to represent India in a folk-classical continuum. In this project, young musicians from all over the world came together and try to create a beautiful blend of folk music of the world. The programs were performed in Forde Folk Music Festival of Norway in 1997.

In 1998 I got an opportunity, to tour nine different cities of Norway as a selected young artist group of Riksconsertene. In fact now I belong to the artist list of the Riksconsertene. I toured the land of midnight sun from Oslo, Bergen to Tromso. http://www.casanostra.no/gmlprog.html
